Such tiny things in our everyday life change our mood entirely. Things like how you woke up in the morning, something someone said in a casual conversation, or even the right song at the right time can completely change your mood. These are all things happening externally, outside your mind. What people never notice is that internally you can change your mood just the same. Such a minor change in your perspective can completely change not just your mood but your entire mindset. .

I have had three months (to the day) of training with @dadbodbarbell. This was. Great day to celebrate that!
A few days ago he asked me what my goals were for this meet- one big one was to hit my snatch opener, the second was to just be confident getting back up on the platform.
I hit both openers! And my third attempt snatch 💃 I hit my clean and jerk opener so well he bumped me up 7kg, and I took a lift in the back (which also looked amazing). We went for 72 twice, and no dice on the jerk.
But today gave us a solid game plan for the next three months, and a heaping mound of motivation!
Better every damn day.
So, I finally got to run outside on Friday. However it was only for a little over a mile. I ran the rest on the treadmill. But I was super happy to run outside even for only 10 minutes. Super busy day and when I run on the treadmill I can be taking care of things at home as well. Multitasking!
Working on my stretching today. I have been making a conscience effort to stretch at least 3 days a week. I'm not sure how much progress I'm making, but I keep working! I am actively chasing #splits2019 !
It’s all about that leg day ✨
❄️ Tom Platz jack squats | 3 sets of 12-15
❄️ Sumo leg press | 3 sets of 20-25
❄️ Walking lunges | 3 sets of 12-15
❄️ Lying leg curls | 7 sets of 8-12 (30-45 sec rest between sets)
❄️ Seated calf raises | 5 sets of 15-30 (30 sec rest)
❄️ Seated leg curls | 4 sets of 20-25 (30 sec rest)
Give this leg day a try and leave a comment below letting me know how you liked the workout! My husband created this AMAZING leg day and it kicks my butt (in a good way lol)
Fun Fact: If you send me a shirtless pic of yourself riding a cat-I am probably going to like it. Believe it or not, Kevin Wilberding sent me that EXACT pic this week and that is part of the reason that I am happy to give him some absolute LOVE as this week’s Freak of the Week.
While the cat pic is really dope stuff, the main reason I wanted to give Kevin a shoutout is because of the unreal work that he and his mustache did last month. As many know, since 2004 the month of November has been come to be known as Movember. Every year, men across the globe grow out their lip cheddar during the month to bring awareness to Men’s Health and to bring about fundraising efforts towards a specific Cause. Kevin decided he wanted to get involved this year in donning a lip sweater and started a fundraising campaign with a team of people around training to run a marathon.
Kev trained his tail off for 2.5 months all while working full time and going to grad school. He would wake up early to pound pavement, work a full day, crush classes at night, go to bed, and wake up HUNGRY for more. When the end of November came, not only did Wilbo crush the race by coming in 8th place-but his team had raised an AMAZING $40,000 towards Men’s Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. Committing to a goal can be daunting. But when you get to that finish line like Kev did, it teaches you a lot about yourself and your internal motor. Congrats on achieving your personal goal Kevin, raising funds for a fantastic Cause, and for being an absolute FREAK.
