What has changed the most from 2009 to 2019 I believe would be my growing a stability in my sense of self. It has always been a constant struggle trying to find my own identity, but now I feel I’ve grown to being more comfortable in my own skin, developing my own beliefs, and understanding my true desires. I think it all comes down to wanting to be seen, heard, valued, and loved by other people, and this is something we all have in common. I’ve learned to change the focus from just myself to the whole picture. Giving and receiving. It is a connection we share that goes from both directions. We’re not really getting our needs met if we only focus on one side. It’s knowing when to help others and knowing when to receive the help. Knowing when to listen to others and knowing when to be listened to. Knowing to be accepting and knowing to be accepted. This connection helps us find our desires to be seen, heard, valued, and loved in healthy ways.
After 3 weeks of rural village life, it’s back to the city and onward to new adventures... after my motorbike gets fixed.
This image was taken this morning from my hotel rooftop. This mans’ goat was in desperate need of attention while he was sweeping up the animals living space.
