Last summer we visited Victor’s Way Sculpture Park in Wicklow, Ireland’s garden county. It’s a fascinating place, with deep philosophical imagery throughout.
This sculpture represents the split man, who is at odds with himself and his place in the world. It’s a striking image as the self torment that mentally tears him apart is represented physically. Not something you see every day.

I put these old dark red taffeta curtains up in the hallway so I could make use of the radiator below the single glazed window. My daughter said it looks awful but I actually like it, and it has made the room warmer in the evenings when I can’t be bothered to light the fire. In winter this is my favourite little reading nook but I need to layer up as the draughts in this hallway are pretty full on. But my feet get toasted and my heart warmed with a good dose of gin. #winterevenings#fireside#myhome#mymoments
