This quick and gentle routine was a perfect fit for the rough day I had. @adrienelouise didn’t let us off the hook entirely, as we worked up a bit of fire in the core. My core is extremely weak, so this should make for a good progress pic in the future.

The Mala is a string of 108 beads with an additional 109th bead that is called the guru bead and symbolizes gratitude and connection to the divine.
This workshop will give you the opportunity to create your own set of unique mala beads as well as participate in a mindful yoga practice that teaches you how to use your beads for personal use. While we create the malas, you will learn about the stones and beads that have been chosen for your mala.

Whether today has been amazingly productive or wildly tough to get through, we got you! We’re settling into this week and still getting comfortable with the idea that it’s 2019 (how?!?!). Between the normal day to day stuff we’re expected to perform at our job/school to what’s expected of us at home to juggling self-care to continuing to hear diet talk EVERYWHERE and finding a way to sit with what we hear...it’s a lot. And frankly...we get that the self-care piece gets lost in the mix (that is the first thing we tend to lose when we get busy). But it’s important to squeeze in something for YOU at some point in the day: 5 minute guided breathing meditation, 2 minute stretch break, cuddling a pet a little extra when you get home, making time to pack your lunch/breakfast tonight to give yourself a break in the morning, taking a longer shower...do what you can with the time you have. Give yourself some love, no matter how seemingly small 🥰

I’m trying to find all the faces that have supported my instructor journey over the last 5 years. There are so many glorious and committed women (and one man @adamhunterg!) who put their workout trust in me and bought their A game week after week. - thank you all for the laughing, sweating, crying and dancing we did. Some of those iconic songs will forever remind me of you guys. I’m hanging up my equipment for the time being and setting my focus on my main business (#itsaliandjoe and the kids!) but I’m forever grateful to @justoffbroadway for giving me a home to expand my workout style. So here’s to the instructors who now inspire me to be a better student and make my workout journey great. .

I had a random but scary nosebleed yesterday so now my bedside table has a few new additions to it. A Holmes Humidifier for one because this Texas weather causes us to run the heater and the air conditioning depending on the hour of the day, and all this dry air is what caused the nosebleed. But that isn't going to stop me from pampering myself as much as possible hence the new @perfectly_posh on my nightstand.
I'm in love with the new Twilight Zoned BFYHC, the scent is mesmerizing and complements the soothing scents of Mad for Magnesium and Cann I Be essential/cbd oil. I have started my pampering routine early tonight and am going to dive into the new Pink Ink core catalog while I relax and breathe in deep the fragrance of self indulgence.

Ten years ago I had a 1 year old (my 4th child) & was living in a beautiful house we had built. A year after the pic on the left I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. No stress - I figured it was my turn but little did I realise that this was easy compared to what was to come! Despite having major complications and ending up in hospital for 27 days. Missing my children badly! Nothing compares to the heartbreak of one of your children getting diagnosed & nothing can be done to save her! So me 10 years on I’ve been through the most unimaginable hell but I’m still here! I’m still surviving tho some days barely! This challenge to me is one if survival! We should be grateful to be ageing! It’s a privilege denied to many so embrace every damn day of it! Love hard! Be kind! Show compassion! 🙏🏻💜⭐️
I'm thankful. I'm thankful for this day, full of beautiful opportunities creating both failures and successes. I'm thankful for this love I've found within myself which continues to grow, as well as my understanding of how to spread it out to others. And in thankful for my poi breaking during this video... for now I MUST order another set! 💪🤹♂️

New Year, new stress? There are so many small ways to relieve tension and anxiety; these are some of our favorites:
~Try a breathing exercise… It may seem insignificant, but giving your body more oxygen actually stimulates the parasympathetic reaction which helps you calm down!
~Eat a (healthy) snack… Feeling like you’ve run out of nourishment is super stressful to your body.
~Take a break from your screens.
~Smooch… Kissing releases major endorphins!
~And of course, EXERCISE! Not only will exercising keep your body healthy, but also your mind.
